SPECIAL EDITION SET
After the success of the Comedìa collection, Visconti embarks on a new journey through Dante's immortal masterpiece, the Divine Comedy. This special limited edition is dedicated to the timeless figures who have represented the human soul throughout centuries of history and literature. The first two protagonists of this ever-evolving series-Virgil and Charon-pay tribute to the wisdom and unstoppable force of destiny that shape the journey into the afterlife. Virgil, the venerable poet and tireless guide of Dante through Inferno and Purgatory, embodies reason, wisdom and the quest for knowledge. Always depicted wearing a flowing white tunic and a laurel wreath, Virgil is now immortalised in a writing instrument that reflects his timeless elegance. The Virgil pen features a refined acrylic resin body in ivory tones, with shades of laurel green and touches of fiery red, symbolising wisdom and passion for knowledge. Adorned with luminous yellow gold trim, this pen is a tribute to the poet's noble spirit. The veretta is engraved and enamelled with Virgil's name, testifying to his timeless legacy. The top of the cap, a unique case for a Visconti collection, also features fine enamelling. In stark contrast to Virgil's benevolence, Charon represents the inevitable passage into the unknown. As the ferryman of the Acheron, he is the herald of destiny, leading lost souls across the threshold of Hell. The Charon pen embodies this energy through a striking grey-blue colouring that recalls the turbulent waters of the infernal river. The dark ruthenium finish enhances its gloomy aura. Here too, the name of Charon is engraved and enamelled on the band, as is the top of the cap. Virgilio and Caronte pens are available in fountain pen, rollerball and ballpoint versions, each strictly limited to 999 pieces. This number-rooted in the numerical structures of Dante's poetry-recalls the divine perfection and mystical significance of the numbers three and nine within the Divine Comedy. With this new limited edition, Visconti continues to honour Italy's literary and artistic heritage, transforming symbols of human nature into masterful writing instruments. Virgil and Charon are not mere pens-they are storytellers, carrying on the legacy of Dante's masterpiece in every stroke of ink, inviting one to embark on a timeless journey through the power of the written word.
