PELIKAN TOLEDO M900 FOUNTAIN PEN
The art of working Damascus steel dates back thousands of years: steel or iron objects were worked by engraving a decoration on the surface. This technique came to Spain with the Arabs and was perfected over the centuries, particularly in the Spanish city of Toledo.
In 1931 Pelikan adopted it for the Toledo model, and it was so successful that the design has remained virtually unchanged all these years.
Each Toledo fountain pen is unique, the decorative band is made of 925 Sterling silver plated with 24K gold, hand-engraved by a master craftsman in the famous craft tradition of Toledo, Spain.
Given the complexity of the work, a maximum of 200 pieces per month can be created.
The cap, grip and bottom are made of high-quality black resin.
If you own a Toledo fountain pen, you own a work of art and a small piece of history.
