Inspiration can come from the simplest of sources – often from nature itself. While marvelling at the workmanship of a rare 1930s design, we wondered what had inspired its creator. Gazing out the museum’s windows, its genesis became clearer – and the allegory of flowing water became compelling. Recreated with modern milling, gentle cascading forms bring fluency to words before they are even committed to paper
